personal development transformation coach
Dr. Camelia Straughn, a 23-year Retired Army veteran, is on a mission to transform the lives of millions of women by empowering them to embrace a life of BLISS (Belief, Love, Intimacy, Self, Success). Her personal experiences as a survivor of child sexual trauma, military sexual trauma, and domestic violence have shaped her passion and purpose for helping others overcome their own challenges and reclaim their self-worth.
Born on February 18, 1968, Dr. Straughn faced a long and difficult journey in coming to terms with her worthiness. The struggles she endured affected her self-perception and influenced how she interacted with the world around her. Determined to break free from the grip of depression and a cycle of feast to famine, she embarked on a path of self-discovery and healing.
Having experienced firsthand the struggles that many women face when they lack protection, suffer from low self-esteem, encounter racial and gender discrimination, or become victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, Dr. Straughn committed herself to guiding women beyond their usual stopping points. She teaches them how to manage negative self-talk, heal relationships, and become their own rescue. Drawing upon the tips and tools she used to navigate her own journey from self-hate and victimhood, she helps individuals transform their lives.
During her military career, Dr. Straughn dedicated over half of her service to working as a Sexual Assault Advocate. In this role, she provided training and counseling to soldiers who had experienced sexual assault. Leading training at the Company and Battalion levels, she played a crucial role in supporting survivors and raising awareness about sexual assault prevention. She is also a certified trainer in Suicide Prevention, Sexual Assault Prevention, and Master Resiliency Training. Dr. Straughn's management career showcased her expertise in planning, staffing, and operations, with a focus on Human Resource Affairs and Team Leadership. Responsible for leading teams of up to 60 personnel, she skillfully handled assignments, scheduling, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and long-term career planning.
Dr. Straughn's academic achievements include a doctorate in Organizational Leadership & Behavior, a BS with a certificate in Project Management, and an MBA specializing in Human Resources. Her extensive education, combined with her practical experience, has shaped her into a respected expert in evaluating personnel needs and developing responsive training programs.
